Taiwan End Beef Products Import Prohibition of America

Taiwan says it will lift the ban American beef products, and end the controversy in trade relations with America.

Taiwanese officials said the island state will allow imports beef bone products, such as beef T-bone steak, only from cattle younger than 30 months. They said the ban will be lifted next month.

American exporters will be required to follow the U.S. Department of Agriculture standards to ensure the pieces of meat that meets the age requirements of Taiwan.

Taiwan issued the ban last month after the 6 cases of mad cow found in America. Mad cow disease can cause fatal brain damage in humans.
